Nuno felting at the Pontiac school of the Arts

Yesterday a fabulous group of women got together and I taught them how to Nuno felt a silk chiffon scarf. The results were stunning. 

We 3 Girls Trunk Sale

Come to Marlin Orchards east of Cornwall tomorrow for a whole lot of art and craft.  I'll be there from 11am-4pm Saturday only!  And I'm bring literally bringing my TRUNK!

Etsy Made in Canada was a blast!!

Etsy Made in Canada was a wild wonderful show full of wonderful artists and artisans.  The aisles were really wide and it was still hard to get through the crowds that came.  I met lovely people and made lots of connections.

this was my first show using suitcases and a steamer trunk as my display.  I LOVED them!!  I brought them in....opened them and voila!  There was my booth all set up 

(ok...I still have to tweak the extras I kept adding!)

It was a great experience!!

Etsy MADE IN CANADA

My goodness!  It's been almost 2 months since I blogged last! Part of that was spent helping out on my friends feature film shoot up at Sunrise Lodge on Baptiste Lake north of Bancroft.

It was crazy busy and I don't really know how I fed all those people all that time!  I became a fearless cook...throwing things together to make giant suppers.  thanks to Hilary and Greg for thinking I could do it!  And I did!

So now I'm back and felting up a storm!  Come on down to the Finch Arena this Friday and Saturday for the International Plowing Match Quilt competition and show.

the Beaches Arts and Craft Show, Kew Gardens Toronto

Polar Bear workshop at The Galop Gallery

This was our fifth workshop doing needle felting.  These ladies are awesome!!  Just look at these polar bears!

Myrtle learns wet felting

The other day I taught Myrtle and a gang of her pals how to wet felt. She was great!!

She made an abstract piece of wool fabric.  We might turn it into a little purse or eyeglasses case, or a little coaster for her drink. 

Nuno Felting at the Pontiac School of the Arts

Today I taught 6 lovely women how to nuno felt.  We were at the Stone School Gallery in Portage du Fort Quebec.  Lovely renovated stone building!  We used silk chiffon scarves that I dyed beforehand.  Check out the link below for more information about the School...they have wonderful workshops throughout the summer and it's a lovely drive up there.
